Best Family Adventure trekking and Tours Holiday in Nepal

Nepal is, by its very nature, a family friendly destination. You will find that local Nepali people are mostly welcoming. If you have children and you will not still feel out of place in a restaurant with your children as they will be welcomed with big smiles. If you were planning on taking them anywhere in Nepal, this has to be top of the list; with accessible, great Himalayas views, stunning scenery and ancient monuments, it offers something for everyone in the family.

Older Children

For families with older children, Nepal has adventurous activities on tap, especially in the Annapurna area. Teenagers can do Annapurna sanctuary trek, Ghorepani Poonhill trekking, go white water rafting, zip flyer, bungee jump. Up at Pokhara city, you can opt for a boat trip, or go paddling and explore by kayak. In the chitwan jungle, there is wildlife watching, kayaking, village walk and elephant riding on offer.

Younger children

At first glance, a holiday with high altitude trek might not be top of a wish list for those with the under 12’s. However, there is no reason at all why your children wouldn’t love the Everest view trek or Chisopani and Nagarkot trek, or Best of Nepal Tour. For healthier or poorer, visitors are free to wander to their hearts content throughout the historic sites, panoramic mountain views, river & stunning village which means that children don’t have to stand behind ropes, but can explore the beautiful villages and ruins by walking in them.  Our guides do their best to make the family trek & tours relevant to all of their guests.
The jungle in Chitwan is an absolute highlight for our younger guests. Not only do they get to visit a Jungle on elephant back and see one horn rhinos, deer & crocodile.  At night, you sleep in rooms at best resort in Sauraha, it doesn’t get much more exciting than that! If your children want to be able to let off some physical steam, we can arrange a gentle white water river trip.

Best time of Year for Families to Visit Nepal

You can visit Nepal most of the year round, although the time to avoid is July – August which is the height of the rainy season in the Annapurna trek and Everest trekking will be quiet, it will also be wet and cloudy. For uninterrupted views and sunny days, you would be best off visiting the autumn Season .  October half term Christmas & Easter holidays are possibilities. October & April in the mountains will be pleasant and better weather.
